Don’s New Homebase

After several successful years working out of Chicago, Don has moved to New York, New York.  The move comes just after finishing a successful run of Miracle on 34th Street at Wagon Wheel Theatre.

Don looks forward to all the opportunities for theatre that living in New York has to offer.  Nearly all of the theatres that he has worked at in past years also audition in NY, so be sure to keep an eye out for him in all the old, familiar places!

Miracle on 34th Street

Don will be appearing as Tammany in Wagon Wheel Theatre’s upcoming production of Miracle on 34th Street.  The show will run from December 2nd through December 18th.

Post Playhouse 2011

Don will be returning for a third season at Post Playhouse on Fort Robinson in Nebraska this summer.  He will be appearing in four of the five productions that are being mounted this year.  Last time Don went to Post Playhouse, he was featured as the guitar playing character of Jim in Pump Boys and Dinettes.  This year he will not only be playing guitar again (as Hank Williams in Hank Williams: Lost Highway) but he will also be choreographing for Forever Plaid (and playing Frankie).

This summer will see the return of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee with Don as Vice Principal Panch.  The final published show to round off the season is The Marvelous Wonderettes which does not include Don, but does feature his girlfriend, Diana Rose Becker.

The last production that will be mounted this summer is Broadway: A Cabaret.  This cabaret will be written to utilize the talents of all the cast members that will be at Post Playhouse this season.

Happy Days

Don Denton will be appearing as Richie Cunningham in Happy Days at Circa ’21 Dinner Playhouse in Rock Island, IL.  This will mark Don’s fifth main stage performance at Circa ’21.

Don will again be working with director Ann Nieman (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at Circa ’21) and Jeff Award winning actor Courtney Crouse (bare at Bailiwick Repertory Theatre) who will be playing Arthur “The Fonz” Fonzerelli.
